How do I get my Fortnite account back?

On my Xbox I had an account named FreerushYTG and it was linked to my family outlook. After a few years and many online purchases I decided to change to email to my own. I was just starting to move from Xbox to PC so I wanted to have my Fortnite account on my PC. After I changed the email on my Xbox I tried logging in to my account through my PC. I booted up the game and I had a brand new account with the name of my email (Rustafy). I didn't understand why this happened and I tried various methods of logging in. I tried though google, microsoft, epic games launcher, all the possible loggins for Epic Games. I also tried to log in with the old outlook but it said that there was no account linked to that email. Getting a little frustrated I went back onto my Xbox and launched Fortnite and I saw the brand new account with none of my in game purchases on it. I looked my account up on fortnite tracker and it redirected me to the new account, but now when I look up the account on the tracker it just says that the account can not be found. I have since made more purchases on the new account but severely miss my old account. Sorry for the long reply but this has hindered me for a long time and I don't know what to do. I went to the official Fortnite Discord server and talked to them about this and they weren't very helpful. I'm also sorry if I made any grammar mistakes or mis spellings in not very old. I'm also happy to answer any questions.

Visit the official Fortnite website and click “Sign in” or “Account”

Click “Forgot your password?” and enter the email associated with your account

Check your email inbox for a message from Fortnite with instructions on how to reset your password. If you don't see the email, check your junk/spam folder.

Click the link in the email or copy and paste it into your browser. Enter a new password that is not the same as your last 5 passwords used

Confirm your new password and log in to your account

Since you are not able to log on to your account with the steps I provided. It would be the best to contact Epic Games support since they have a better view than us. They will be able to provide you with a better resolution and steps that could fix the issue.

Hello Khaji,

There was a lot of account switching so I don't know what email the account is linked to. I tried to log in with all different email but none of them had the right Fortnite account or didn't have an account linked at all. Not having the email meaning that I cannot change the password. What I think happen is that i changed my email on the xbox and not on Fortnite so I couldn't access the account and then somehow it got deleted. Thank you for taking your time to read my post.

Really the only thing you can do and what is recommended is that you
continue insisting with the Xbox team, explaining the situation in detail
since they are the only ones who can help you because they do have access to
the accounts and can see what possibly happened. . This forum is really not the
most appropriate medium to discuss your topic, especially since we as players do
not have the tools to help you as it is a sensitive privacy and security issue.
