    How do I get IPv6?

I'm not sure regarding your request here, but IPv6 is a layer 3 (IP) and version 6 of this protocol. The one that determines and dictate the use of such an address is your Internet Service Provider. That is if you're referring to a native IPv6 address. In
That's sense that It's native from your end.

  3. Constantly losing IPv6 connection

I own two Xbox One's that are kept in instant-on mode and they constantly lose their IPv6 connection/addresses, even after only being off for a short time (few hours, to overnight). IPv4 works fine and remains in tact. These are the only devices in my
home that lose IPv6. Everything else has a rock solid IPv6 connection, so I believe it's an issue specific to the Xbox's.

Now if take either Xbox offline then right back online under the network settings page, IPv6 immediately comes right back, but I don't want to do this every time I turn on my Xbox. Any ideas why this might be happening? I'm using an Asus GT-AC5300 router.
    Any help is appreciated.

IPv6 starts at your ISP. Call up their support line to check if they provide IPv6, and if they do support it, have them help you set it up on your network hardware.

    Can't connect to DHCP server!

    Oh well. Worth a try....

I'm tracking an issue with my console with regards to IPv6. After a recent update, every now and then I seem to lose IPv6 connectivity, and my system goes offline. IPv4 still seems to work, but because my network supports IPv6, my console refuses to go back online. It reports a IPv6 DHCP Teredo error (v6 tunning through a v4 network). Going offline then online again seems to be only way to fix it. But I'm having difficulty pinpointing where the issue is.

    Console?

    Router?

    Internet Service provider?

    Xbox Live?

Xbox one disconnecting from IPv6 and losing xbox live connection, but not disconnecting from IPv4

Recently my Xbox randomly loses connection to IPv6 and disconnects me from Xbox live all together. When I go to network settings the console is still connected to IPv4, so I know it's not an issue with the wifi. I have also tried restarting my internet
multiple times, but nothing has fixed the issue.
and for some reason when I'm in a game to console kicks me off and shuts off my whole router of my internet

    Telstra 5G and Xbox

"Do I really need IPv6 when multiplayer gaming on Xbox Live? Or is this something I should be speaking with my ISP about?"

    G'day Cradle Mountain

Check the information in this support page, IPv6 on Xbox console.

If you are connected to the NBN get Telstra to supply their latest Smart modem and/or enable IPv6 on your network access.

When I was connected to the NBN (fibre to the home) IPv6 wasn't enabled automatically. A quick call to Telstra (ISP) and they enabled it. Choose Technical support when you call.

Using IPv6 network protocol solves a lot of the issues you have especially Multiplayer.

Xbox One X dropping IPv6 Connection.

Do you know if you ISP supports IPv6? Your router could be tunneling your IPv4 connection to an IPv6 which basically means it is sending IPv6 packets through an IPv4 connection to communicate with IPv6 servers. I found out myself the xbox doesn't
like this at all. My ISP doesnt support IPv6. When I would look at my connection on my xbox it would say IPv4 and IPv6. So O went into my router settings and sure enough my router was set to tunnel IPv4 to IPv6. I went through set to IPv4 only and it solved
my problem. This causes a teredo error in your xbox.
I'm not sure. How can I check if my router is tunneling it through Ipv4?
