Are you in the insider program? If so, you may need to leave the insider program.

Which files do I copy to transfer Flight Simulator 2020 to another PC?

I have this architecture on my old laptop and want to migrate to a new more powerful PC. I get all this except what do you mean by "copying through the folder located at...." Do you mean move or copy them to that folder then move or copy that folder to
new PC? Please clarify; it will be most helpful. Thanks

    This is only partially correct.

Flight Sim 2020 installed to these folder locations on my PC:

    C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\FlightSimulator

    AND

    C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe

    AND

C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WindowsApps\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe (This one just contains the .exe file to launch the game)

I would recommend copying all these folders to the new PC, though the folder located at:

    C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Official\OneStore

is by far the largest folder in file size and contains the bulk of the data

Sign-in Screen Flashes Three Times on Microsoft Xbox App.

When I go to C:\Users\ I have two to choose... one is 18067 folder(this would be what I use to login and always use) and one is Public folder... when I enter both, there is no AppData, etc. Its just programs, etc. No folders with AppData

    Hello ᵉʳʸˢᵗᶦˣぁ,

    Greetings!

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

Based on the description, you are having issue signing in your Microsoft account through the Xbox Live. Let us check and see on what we can do to help resolve your concern in a timely manner.

It is possible that the reason why you cannot sign in your Microsoft account through Xbox live, it might be that there is a problem with Xbox server or the Xbox app is outdated or corrupted. We will confirm it though by performing some steps to help us determine what is causing the issue.

If we may ask, when was the last time you were able to sign in your Microsoft account through Xbox Live? Can you send us a screenshot of the exact error message in you next response so we can further check? Make sure to mask any sensitive information like your Xbox account or gamertag.

For the meantime, here are the things that we can do to help resolve your concern.

    1. Check the Xbox status page for any server issue. To check, click on the link below:

    • Go to this link: Xbox Status | Xbox Support
    • check under account and profile if there is currently a known issue. If there is, wait until the service is up and running and try signing in your Xbox account again.

    2. Make sure Windows is up to date

    • Press the Start button on the taskbar, type settings, and then select Settings.
    • On Windows 10, select Update & Security. On Windows 11, select Windows Update.
    • On the Windows Update page, select Check for updates to see if any updates are available including optional updates for your device.
    • Once the updates have downloaded, select Install now to start the installation.
    • Following installation, we recommend that you restart your device so that the latest updates can take effect.
    3. Make sure both the Xbox and Gaming Services apps are up to date

    • Press the Start button on the taskbar, type store, and open the Microsoft Store app.
    • Select Library.
    • Under Updates & downloads, check if there are any updates available for the Xbox app or Gaming Services app. If an update is available, select Update.
    4. Make sure you are signed in to the Xbox app and the Store with the same account.

    > To make sure your permissions for the game can be validated, be sure to sign in to both the Store and the Xbox app using the same account that was used to purchase the game.

    5. Repair and Reset Xbox app. To do so, follow the steps below:

    • Press Win + I to open the Settings app, and click on Apps.
    • Click on Apps & features, and in the search box type Xbox app and click on app settings (three dots).
    • Click on Repair. Wait until repair is completely done. Then try signing in to Xbox app.
    • If the issue still persists, repeat the steps and this time, click on Reset. Wait until the process is done and try signing in again through Xbox app.

    6. If the issue still persist, uninstall and reinstall Xbox app. To do so, follow the steps below:

    • Go into “Settings”
    • Choose “Apps"
    • Choose “Installed Apps”
    • Choose “Xbox app”
    • Click on Advanced options or the three dots and click uninstall.
To reinstall Xbox app, open Microsoft Store and search for Xbox app then install it.

We look forward to your response. Kindly let us know, if there is any misunderstanding or clarifications of our description by sending us a reply.
