How do I get back my newer gamertag? I'M HAVING DIFFICULTIES!!!

Hello!

I mainly use my Microsoft account to play Minecraft, and that hasn't been a problem for a long time. I have an old account which I'm going to call Oldie and I have a new one called Newbie. Newbie is just the old one changed by one digit, but they're pretty easy to tell apart.

I made Newbie because, when I booted up Minecraft on my switch for the first time, I used a different email to login to Microsoft so I made a new gamertag.

Newbie has a lot of stuff on it, but not as much as Oldie. I don't use Oldie anymore for the most part, but I still have it, even so.

I was going to log in to Minecraft.net because I'm planning to possibly get a Realms Plus subscription, and I wanted to be logged in when I got Minecraft for my new computer, so it would all-around just make things easier.

BUT THEN....

Yeah, while I was supposed to be studying, I was grinding to get my Switch gamertag on my computer.

I've used every email I have, and one brings up Oldie. The other two prompt me to make a new gamertag, so I haven't used them yet. And what's frustrating is I have an email that I use frequently, and I could have sworn that's the one I used to make Newbie but when I login to it it makes me make a new gamertag so I have to start over!

I've used every email that I could have used and NONE work! I want to play Minecraft on a Realm with my friends over summer, so that's why I want to use that account. It's currently my favorite.

I've seen other forum posts similar to my situation but none have solved my concern. Please get back to me soon because I'd like to invite my friends to the server.

HELP.

Not a problem anymore!!! I ended up forgetting that I had another email, I'm very much regretting yelling at you. Your sign-ins, honestly, are a bit too complicated, in my personal opinion.

In this situation, the only thing you can try is to contact Support directly. Not sure how you " lost " your Gamertag, if you changed and could not change it back, or if it was deemed offensive, but truly the new system is 12 characters max for the Gamertag.

You can try contacting Support and see if there is anything that they can assist you with:

The problem choice you choose on the Support link might not give you access to Request a Call or Live Chat, and in this case, try selecting other problems ( even if does not match the issue you are facing ) because what is important here is for you to contact Support. So do this until the contact options appear, okay? Here in the community, we have no access to account/billing information.

Your old Gamertag should be blocked for 30 days after the change.

So do not tell anyone about it and remember the date to change it back.

Hopefully it wasn't an old Gt with more than 12 characters, cause it's impossible to get those old Gts back.

As mentioned above, I think you will not get a refund cause it's your responsebility, to take care of your account !

whatever happens on your account is your responsibility, does not matter who did it. get your friend to pay up and then hope your old tag has not been taken.

I apologize, but the only way to get your old gamertag back is to pay another $10 to change it again. Unfortunately, if someone else has already claimed your original gamertag, you may not be able to get it back unless the person is willing to release it and let you claim it on your account. However, if no one has taken your original gamertag, you can claim it again as long as it follows the Xbox Code of Conduct.

You can try submitting a refund for the charge made by your friend by filling out the Manual Refund Webform at this link: https://support.xbox.com/forms/request-a-refund.
