How do I get a second Xbox One attached to my Xbox Live account?

Thanks for reaching out to us here on the forums with this situation. I understand you're trying to put an existing Microsoft Account on a new Xbox One console you've purchased. To do so you can press the Xbox logo on the controller (the white light button)
just once. It will pull up the Xbox Guide from the left side of your screen. Using the joystick go all the way to the left to the Sign in Section of the Xbox Guide. There press "A" on where it says "+ Add New". Then you enter the Microsoft Account email and
password to recover the Gamertag onto the console. Check out this helpful article:

Note: Any account can only be used on one Xbox One Console at a time. It will sign out the account signed in on your older sons Xbox if its signed into from your younger sons console at the same time.

3. Not necessarily. If you have your younger son make the old console his home, anyone would be able to download and play his digital games one that Xbox too.

4. No gamertag can be signed in on 2 Xbox Ones simultaneously.

5. Yes, that is the idea.

You would want to have your older son sign into the new Xbox with his gamertag and make that his home console. Once you do, he can totally sign into any other console and still play the games and use the Gold he has, but anyone who wants to play with him
and use those features would have to use the newer console. He bought the rights to the subscription and when you make this change, it will basically share the rights with anyone who uses the console he selects. He doesn't need to be signed in at all after
the change for this to hold either.

Yes its possible, with the account that has xbox live sign on to your younger son's xbox and set it to be a home xbox. That way both of your sons will share xbox live.

Designate an Xbox One console as your home Xbox

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select System > Settings > Personalization, and then select My home Xbox.

Select Make this my home Xbox to designate the console as your home Xbox.

Let me know if I understand this correctly.

1. So I am making my younger son's Xbox (the new one) the Home Xbox.

2. My older son then signs into the new Xbox (adds his gamertag to the new Xbox) that has the Xbox Live account.

3. Do I need to make the old Xbox a Home console as well or can only one Xbox have a Home designation.

4. Can my older son be logged into both or can he just be on one Xbox at a time?

5. Or, Does he just have to have the gamertag attached to the new Xbox and does not have to be logged in to the new Xbox for my younger son to access Xbox Live.
