When you insett the drive you should be prompted to format it. You will lose all of the existing contents ehen you do so, just as a warning.

    Hi,

You can't. Flash drives can't be used for game storage on an Xbox One. You need a USB 3.0 external HDD or SSD. Besides, flash drives aren't fast enough anyway.

Thanks for responding. We recommend using a different storage device on your Windows 10 PC. Make sure that it is formatted as NTFS. For information about how to format a USB flash drive to NTFS using a PC, see How
to format a flash drive to NTFS on Windows
    .

If the issue persists, you may proceed with resetting your Xbox One console to factory defaults using a USB Flash Drive. Check out this

    page
    to know more about it.

    Keep us posted.

    Xbox One Original

    Hey there JaylieAlbin,

My recommendation would be to try and do a factory reset with a USB if you are unable to even get to your menu settings. To go about doing this you will need to follow the steps listed in this solution:
How to reset your Xbox One console to factory defaults using a USB flash drive.

Please keep in the mind you will need:

    • A windows based PC with an internet connection and USB port
    • A USB flash drive with a minimum of 4 GB of space formatted as a NTFS

Please let us know if this fixes it for you. If you are unable to access any menu settings and the above solution didn't work you may need to see if your device can be
    serviced by Microsoft.

    Best of luck!
