how do i fix xbox game bar menu turning black when im in game

If you don't open the Xbox game bar your game or games works?

Miss Ermine. Thanks for the help. I was able to post on my first posting. Yes im seeing the yellow bars in game. Black Ops 2. Really bad game play when i have yellow bars. When green im getting grest game plsy.

when i click on the gear icon & on game bar settings, these are following options on the left side panel for me are as follows:

Please, make sure your Windows is updated:

Then, reset and repair your game bar again:

Press the Windows Key+X > Settings > System > System Components > Search for Game Bar > click the three dots ... > Advanced > Restore

Then, on the same page, press Repair.

After that, please, download the Gaming Services Repair tool:

https://aka.ms/GamingRepairTool

Once downloaded, execute the file by right-clicking on it and selecting Run as Administrator.

Follow the prompts and check if the issue was resolved.

When i turned on my xbox at start the xbox was fine but when i tried to login my account and the menu thingy i couldnt do anything on there and couldnt login so i removed a cable from the xbox and put it back in and when it turned on the xbox screen was
black and the menu was STILL broken, i put in my internet again and the black screen went, its just the menu thats bugging me
