How do I fix the PC Xbox App so that it registers that I have the game installed?

This can be a bit odd, but did you tried creating a desktop shortcut in your PC and then try running the game as administrator?

If you're not able to do that, please try installing a new game to see if the same message or a similar message appears.

In the meantime, if you go to the path that appears in the error message. Are you able to see the game folder and files?

And did you tried reverting the folder permissions change?

If not, please try that. If yes and if the issue persist.
Do you have a different drive / partition in your PC?
If not, please try creating a new NTFS partition using some of the free space available in your main drive.

Once created select it as default option to install apps via Windows settings > system > storage > advance storage options (only Windows 11) > where new content is saved > under Apps select this new drive.

Is that available space appearing in the desired drive?

If you don't use that drive too much you should be able to shrink basically all the available space.

In this case, please try formatting the drive first. Make sure to backup the files stored on it

I’ve tried running it as an administrator and it doesn’t work, I’ve the folder where it says that it can’t find the game folder and inside the folder there are just a lot of random folders that store data for the apps on my pc. I will also mention that this folder was hidden and I had to manually give myself access to it, but as far as I am aware, lots of other people have given themselves access to the file on their computers, so I don’t think that I messed anything up. Also the folder is a hidden one in Program Files called WindowsApps in case you were wondering. Also, it has given me the error message with other game pass games, but my pc storage is full so I’m unable to reinstall them to get the error message. Thanks for trying to help, and let me know if you have any other suggestions.

How do I get more room to shrink, because it says that I have 0 available shrink space in my computer. Thanks for continuing to help me.
