How do I fix my Xbox shutting itself off immediately?

Sorry to hear you are having this issue. Which Xbox is it? Is it hot to touch or getting a too hot message?

Usually an Xbox shutting down like that is either lack of ventilation or a problem with the power supply.

For ventilation make sure its got plenty of space around it and the vents aren't full of dust.

For power supply, if you have it plugged into some sort of surge protector or extension, then try using it plugged in directly to the mains at the wall.

The last thing would be to reset the console back to factory defaults. If its still an issue after that, it sounds like it needs to be serviced.

Update: Sometimes when I say Xbox On, the system turns on, and then immediately shuts off and when i try to turn on with my controller, it wont work. I have to power it from the console itself...weird?

The orange LED on the power supple usually means the power supply is functioning properly and that the issue is with the console

Nah I can't borrow,maybe I can order it online and then return it if it doesn't work but that would cause a loss to the seller for shipping twice,i have contacted support,some tell to buy a new power brick,and some say since there's atleast orange light
on power brick it's definitely fine

If you have access to another power supply that you could test with would help to determine where the problem is. Try to borrow a friend's power supply so that you determine if it is the power supply or possibly the console itself.
