    How do I fix my Xbox One that is lagging, freezing, crashing, all on just the dashboard


    My xbox one has now frequently been having an issue where it can't launch games (it says they take too long start), it freezes on the dashboard, on the xbox menu, in the My Games and Apps, in the settings menu. I have to routinely power cycle it and then it freezes on a black or green screen of death. I should not have to factory reset my xbox twice in as many months to play it and I'm really debating the fact Microsoft is doing this because the next gen console is now here.

    Any sort of feedback or advice would be appreciated.

    No joke i m saying don't worry about the freezing because it won't harm anything at all. I've dealt with freezing games since launch, some games are more prone to freeze then others. Some make the horrendous buzzing noise then crash to dashboard while some
    just crash to dashboard. Then others will freeze system and all u have to do is unplug from power supply. Either way I've dealt with it all hundreds of times if not more and not once has any hurt my console one bit.

    When I used to play Ark it would lag, freeze and crash sometimes... especially if there was a lot going on in-game. (Ex: when exploring caves, etc.)

When this error comes up pure virtual function being called while application was running (gls running == 1) I click okay and the game will freeze and it will go back to dashboard.
