How do I fix my Xbox controller with springy noise

that sucks. I don't have the problem with connecting, just that dang springy noise.

I prefer the 360 controller because I don't like the feel of the bumpers and triggers on the Xbox One controller. The triggers especially just feel that bit too soft and springy.

Hello all. So i got my son a new controller for christmas. Using it the first time we had noticed that there was a springy/clicky/creaky noise whenever he would move the right thumbstick. Almost 3 weeks later and the noise seems to be getting louder.

Has anyone heard of this with the new controllers?

Could this lead to accelerated wear on the right thumbstick from faulty hardware or fault during assembly?

Any help or info appreciated. Thanks.

If you are having an issue with your controller, contact Xbox support or request a refund!

Have you checked the springy things aren't damaged.

One of my recent controllers I realised one was missing and It didn't work.

Is the battery back loose?

Have you run the steps in Update xbox wireless controller? All controllers you use need to run the firmware update.

I prefer the usb method.

I recently got a notification that a controller update was required.
