    How do I fix my soft bricked preview build xbox?


    Dear mods, I'm not asking for software, I'm not asking for files, I'm asking for tips or help in any direction.

    What do I do? I replaced the HDD and made sure it was formatted properly with the correct partition table. OSU1 isn't working at all, and I'm on a preview build. What do I do? Can anyone help or should I just drop this piece of garbage and get a playstation?

    Anyone else stuck in the update loop and did Xbox charge you to replace the console?

    The hard reset does not work on consoles with the preview update. You can request to leave the program....but that doesn't get me out of the preview build and you can't go back to the old builds. And out of warranty console are charged 150.00 if it bricks
    in the preview........Don't do it.

    I am having a similar issue and have been trying off and on for a week. I build the custom controller and go to preview design but it won't proceed. So I build, rebuild and it won't let me get past the preview. I have made sure any content blockers etc are all off/disabled; I've tried on several devices and it's doing the same thing on all 3 devices. How can I fix this so I can purchase my custom Elite controller??

    This is a problem currently being experienced by Preview Build users. A hard reboot and unplugging the brick for 5 minutes is the usual fix, and some have been reporting unplugging Kinect has been helping.

    Also, I strongly recommend posting any preview-related issues in the Preview Forums, so the engineers can track the number of people experiencing issues, and so you can get help more specific to preview-related problems.
