How do I fix my friends list and fix being able to accept game invites?

I recently started experiencing an issue than is causing my friends list not to update and eventually wasn’t able to accept game invites. I cleared my cache on my Xbox and it didn’t work, the next thing I tried was resetting my Xbox without removing any games or apps. This also did not work and when I added my account back to my Xbox, my entire friends list was completely empty. I still had friends, I could see people getting online, but just wasn’t updating the friends list to show anyone on it. I currently can’t accept invites and have little to no friends appearing on my friends list, what to I do? Should do a factory reset?

I am sorry to hear about what happened. This is clearly not the situation I want you to be in. Let's do our best to get this sorted out.

To further isolate the issue, please try to sign in a different Xbox account or profile to your console to check if the same issue persists. Please also check your main account via the Xbox app on mobile or https://account.xbox.com/Profile website if you could see your friends list just fine.

Yeah - Live Status says it is fixed, but that is bull. I still dont see my friends list. My friends seem to be able to tell that I am online but cant send invites or message to me and I cant add friends to list.

And in the part of "Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows 10 devices Online Safety" set all features related to multiplayer, communication and friendship to "Allow".

In the "Privacy" section put everything for everyone, except for the personal data options, that's up to you.

Then go to your network settings and in advanced options change the DNS to primary 8.8.8.8 and secondary 8.8.4.4

Try to perform a cache clear with the following steps.

1. Press and hold the Power button on the front of your Xbox One until the console turns off.

2. Unplug the power cord from the back of your Xbox One.

3. Wait a minute, and then plug the power cord back in.

4. Press the Power button on your Xbox One to turn it back on.

5. Your cache should be clear at this point.

BREAKING MORALE

Please fix my sidebar. I am unable to go anything on my sidebar. I am unable to access my side for party's,text,friends ect.... Still able to play games but will not accept any invites aslo. Please look into this issue A.S.A.P... I am thankful for your time

You need someone on your friends list already in the program to invite you.

Being invited does not guarantee you will be accepted.

As they have only just started to accept people again there is a massive backlog so even if you do get accepted you will be waiting months.
