how do i fix a fund on my xbox when i didnt even have the card to pay it the next month?

In order to make a purchase using your card or another bank card, you will need to clear any balance owed. Otherwise the system does not allow you to make purchases unless they are pre-paid codes or from a retailer.

You can see what you owe by going to https://account.microsoft.com and signing into your account. Once there, please go to Services and Subscriptions.
There you will see in red what you owe.

You can pay using another payment method. Simply add another card that belongs to you and then pay for the past due subscription.

If you continue putting the payment off. What will happen is the system will suspend the account until payment has been made. This type of suspension is not the same as a suspension issued by the Xbox Enforcement team and will not show up on your Enforcement
record for that profile.

I have had the same situation happened to me. I generally have a Microsoft card for $15, and that is what I used to pay for my Xbox game pass ultimate subscription. I did notice one time the total was $15.80 and my account balance was $15, it said how will
you pay for the rest? That is when I had to go reattach another payment method. As a matter of fact, literally this month I had to turn off recurring billing on my debit card, and use said Microsoft card to pay for the balance. all I had to do then was turn
back on recurring billing and it will charge me next month of my debit card, but this month is paid for with Microsoft card. I hope this helps.

Since it starts a recurring subscription, the system wants to make sure you are able to pay for the next month. So you would either need enough funds on your account for the next month as well or a credit card/Paypal on file.

my xbox live expired. i have $20 credit in my xbox account. i want a 1 month membership for $9.99. when i try to get the 1 month it will only take a credit card. how can i renew it from my account funds? thanks in advance

You can use the funds in your account to purchase a subscription, but since it starts a recurring subscription you have to show you can pay the next payment either by having enough funds in your account for the next payment or having a credit card/Paypal
on file, even if you plan on turning off auto-renewal.
