How do I find out if this 1 month membership code is still redeemable?

Whoops, I just figured out it out

A recently purchased a gold membership for 1 month but I unfortunately I can't play online as it asks me for a 25 digit code.... However I haven't received that code? How do I redeem the code to find out what it is? This is for xbox 360

I have being wondering; is their a Gold Membership free 1 month still going on? If so how do i find that.

What if I redeem the code, before the existing membership expires ? Will it still add to the existing membership ?

Example - if my subscription expires on 1 March, and I redeem 3 months pass on 25 February, will the Game pass still expire on 1 June or 25 May (3 months from 25 February ) ?
