How do I file an appeal?

We totally understand that you want to use your Xbox Series S and play games. Just a reminder, we are not able to double check your account here manually since we do not have the option to. No worries, we do have some troubleshooting steps here that we may use for the issue.

To file an appeal for an Xbox account suspension or enforcement action, you can follow these steps:



1. Sign in to your Microsoft account on the Xbox website.

2. Go to the Xbox Enforcement page.

3. Click on "File a Case" and select "Appeal an Enforcement Action."

4. Fill out the form with the required information, including your gamertag, the enforcement action you are appealing, and the reason for your appeal.

5. Submit the form and wait for a response from the Xbox Enforcement team.



Regarding the Error 0x80a40020, this error code usually indicates an issue with your Xbox Live account or network connection. You can try the following steps to resolve the issue:



1. Check your network connection and make sure it is stable.

2. Restart your Xbox console and try signing in again.

3. Clear the cache on your Xbox console.

4. If the issue persists, contact Xbox Support for further assistance.

Once a console is banned then that ban will never be reversed,even if you bought the console 2nd hand.

That's the reason you never buy a used console until you've seen it connect to Xbox live.

To submit an appeal, please follow these steps:

1. Sign in and visit the Enforcement page.

2. If you’re an organizer of an Xbox family group, you can choose the gamertag of the account that you’re reviewing under Showing enforcements for. Under Previous or Current you will find “Completed suspensions” and “Active suspensions” for your account or the account that you’ve selected.

3. Choose an enforcement action to review more info about the cause and effect of the enforcement in the pop-up window.

4. If the enforcement action qualifies for case review, you can select Submit an appeal to receive more info from Xbox Safety.

5. After you’ve completed the form, select Submit.
