How do I enter from an adult account to change the settings for a child account?

You are trying to change an adult account to a child account? While the age of the account is determined by the DOB on said account, we can change the privacy settings for this account to have child-like privileges.

The "adultness" of your account is determined by the birthdate you entered when you created your account.

On the Xbox One you automatically become an adult as soon as you are of legal adult age according to the entered birthdate.

Please sign in to
https://account.xbox.com/settings and if you see a table with settings where you can change your online and privacy settings, you do have an adult account.

If you do get a page explaining how to add a child account to a parent account, you entered a wrong birthdate, and your account is not of legal adult age yet.

Its not possible to change from an organizer (adult account) to a member (child account). Whether the account is an adult account or child account is dependent on the date of birth entered when the account was first created. The date of birth on the Xbox
account cannot be changed either.

Did this account graduate naturally from a child account to an adult account or was there a birthday change attempt? You can change the birthdate to the Microsoft account but it will not change the birthdate that was entered originally to the Xbox profile.

In other words, a child account will remain a child account until it graduates naturally to an adult account. No way around it.

If you have an adult account, then simply go to
https://account.xbox.com/settings and sign in with the Microsoft Account email that you use for Minecraft.

After you added your child account at
https://account.microsoft.com/family you can then sign in the https://account.xbox.com/settings page again with the adult account, and make the necessary changes for your child
account.
