How do I enable multiplayer while sharing a game pass sub on Xbox S

Keep in mind, sharing outside of your household is against the rules and can put you and your friend at risk for being banned.

Let's try to clarify a little since there is no Game Pass Gold sub. On XBOX you can have Game Pass and/or Xbox Live Gold which provide different benefits but are not the same thing
(and are of course eventually included in the
Game Pass Ultimate).

Game Pass sub gets you access to the Game Pass library of games as long as you are subscribed.

Xbox Live Gold enables most multiplayer functionalities and gets you 4 free titles each month (2 for 360 that are yours to keep
available also on the One thanks to retrocompatibility and 2 for the One that can be played as long as you have an active gold sub). You actually have to redeem those games while your sub is active, which means you cannot get later games that were offered
while you had no active subs.

That being said, which is the sub you currently have and which games are giving you troubles?

If you have only gold, then you should be able to play only games coming from the gold free titles that you eventually redeemed while you had the ultimate active plus the ones currently available. If you have the Game Pass
instead, you should be able to get the games from its catalogue.

I'm sorry you are experiencing this with your Xbox Game Pass multiplayer.

Ideally, you need at least an active Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for each of the 3 Xbox accounts (1 per console) to enable online multiplayer but there's a way to share the subscription using 2 Xbox accounts on 3 consoles.

Let's say having 2 Xbox accounts (Account A and B ) with active Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

On the Xbox Series X console, sign in using Account A then press the Xbox menu button > go to settings > personalization > my home Xbox > then make this my home Xbox in order to share the subscription on all of the accounts that will be using the console. Then sign out of the account.

Then using Account B, sign in to Xbox Series S and do the same method above to enable subscription sharing. Sign out of the account once you're done.

Lastly, on your 3rd console, you can either sign in to account A or B to have them play on this console. That way, both accounts A and B will be able to have the benefits of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate while having this subscription shared on your Xbox Series X and S consoles.
