How, Do I, Discover my storage device?

I, have gone through, those steps; many times. I, attempted all the steps, mentioned and none worked.

I, believe my, hard drive crashed. Thank goodness, it is still, under warranty.

First, please make sure that your console is up to date:

Profile & system > Settings > System > Updates.

If that didn't work, please follow the steps below:

"Check your power settings. If you're in Sleep mode:

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2. Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Power options.

3. Confirm that your power mode is set to Sleep.

4. Unselect the option When Xbox is off, turn off storage.

5. Restart your Xbox, and then go back to Settings and select System > Storage to see if your device now appears in the list."

If that didn't work, do you have a different device where we can test the external hard drive? It can be on your PC, Laptop, or another Xbox console.

do you have any external storage devices connected?
I had issues on the dashboard once, slowness, things not updating and all kind of things and eventually I discovered that it was caused by a failing (hardware) external storage device, disconnecting it solved all issues
