How do I delete reinstall Xbox gaming services if the usual command doesnt work?

when I type the command always given to delete the gaming services i get the following respose:

the command i use is:

get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers

any help is appreciated I have tried everything to fix my xbox app download speed and now it will not download at all

I have followed all of these steps with no solution, thinking of just reinstalling windows from scratch as I don't really have anything important to keep on this computer other than game data.

Is there any way to keep my xbox games downloaded when reinstalling windows?

Updates are often seen as optional.

Also, make sure all Xbox Apps are up to date in the store, and make sure you have the Xbox Companion App installed, it works with the Xbox App.

If after that it does not work, try performing the procedures below.

1 - Type cmd (Command Prompt) in the search bar of the Start menu and then click Run as administrator.

2 - Enter chkdsk /f/x/r/v

Being in use the system will ask if the user wants to check the chosen drive after reboot. Just type S and restart the computer.

Thanks for the update, I'm glad to hear that now everything is working as expected!

And yes, usually reinstalling the gaming services via powershell command fix this issue (in case that repair and reset doesn't work)

I've tried everything from that article and besides reinstalling gaming services, I've tried deleting gaming services entries from the registry, reinstalling xbox app and the sfc /scannow command.

It's happening on up to date windows 10

This issue has be on going for a along time ive seen timestamps of people having this problem all the way back to 2019. When they first released the app on pc. Alot of people have used the fix it. I posted an answer i found a while back and someone replied saying it work but had to still do what u did and delete the game services. So to anyone who used the fix i found and it still doesnt work. Try deleting the Xbox game services and reinstalling to see if that helps
