    How do I delete an Xbox profile from my Microsoft account?


    I have 2 Microsoft accounts. Both have Xbox profiles associated with them. But my Xbox profiles have almost similar names, and my friends always get confused. I want to keep both Microsoft accounts, but I want to delete the Xbox profile associated with one of them. Is this possible?

    Once you sign in to the Xbox website, the Games app on Windows 10 or on an Xbox console, it will automatically create a random Xbox Gamertag.

    If you are trying to delete an Xbox Account or Profile from your Microsoft Account, the Microsoft Account itself will be deleted.

    However, you have an option to change the email address attached to the gamertag by following the steps on this link.

    I appreciate your help. I honestly think that is stupid, considering I already have one on my gaming account where I purchased Minecraft. Now, I have to log in and out just to get into the right account.

    I'm afraid it is not possible to delete the Xbox profile as it is permanently attached to your Microsoft account that is associated with your Minecraft account.

    An Xbox account and a Microsoft account are one and the same and having a Microsoft Xbox account is a requirement to play Minecraft.

    Hi, if you delete and download your profile again the passcode will be gone. Be sure to delete profile only when you do this please.
