How do I Copy Saves From My XBox360 To A USB Drive?

I've read the help guide on the topic and most of it is straight forward, but I don't know where to go to find game saves. I would look myself but I'm currently two states away from it for college, and am trying to guide a family member through it. Where
do you go in the HD to find saves?

Recover data for Xbox360 from PC

Hello,

I put my games on usb disk and copy them to PC, unfortunely my disk got broken, so i copy folder xbox360 from PC to new usb disk.

But there is a problem.

1. I put new disk in Xbox360 and setup as 32gb, just like old one,

2. I copied files data0000-data0033 to folder xbox360 in usb disk,

3. Again putted disk in xbox360, but when i go to settings/system/mass strage/ i have to setuo again disk and i lost files.

More of it I have in this files my profile and save`s.

Please help.

 

USB DRIVE ALL DATA LOST

My USB drive with all game saves on it stopped working on my 360 console. It was not recognised as a Storage device, only a USB.

oh dear.



I take the USB and plug it into my pc and reveal hidden files. There is a folder called Xbox360. Phew.



I copy all the Data0000-data0016 files to a folder on my desktop. Backed up.



Then i take the usb back to my 360, reconfigure it and bring it back to my PC. I then take all the backed up files from my desktop and copy/overwrite them to my reconfigured USB.

FAIL.

My xbox will not detect the USB as a storage device - with any game data etc.



I read the forums, and try the processs again but i dO NOT replace the Datta0000 or Data0001 files.

Still no luck.



7 epic years of game saves gone. It hurts, alot.

If anyone has experienced this problem, and can offer a solution - then i will be forever grateful.



p.s I did read that apparently when you copy your save files to your PC - microsoft format the files so they are not longer useable. To stop mods and crap.

Ok, to start the family member will need to be logged in to your gamertag on the console. Now, an easier way of doing this than putting them on a usb and mailing it to you would be to put the saves on the Cloud for you (you have access to the Cloud because
you're a Gold member).

All they need to do is, from the dashboard of the console, scroll all the way to the right to Settings. Choose System then Storage.

From there, if the Cloud is not set up, they can set up the Cloud by scrolling down to it and following the instructions. After that they would head in to the main storage area (memory) then Games & Apps and find the game that you want the save for. Once
they find it the press A to get into it and then select the Save and press A then choose either Copy or Move. The next option would be for whichever storage device they want to Copy or Move it to.

If you choose to use the Cloud method you will need to have it set up on both consoles so you can access it.
