How do I charge the Play and charge kit for Xbox series X controller.

Xbox One accessories and peripherals will be compatible with Xbox Series X. As to whether the rechargeable battery packs are compatible with an Xbox Series X controller, that has not yet been revealed at this time, to my knowledge. However, the new controller
will use USB-C for its charging port instead of the Play & Charge Kit's Micro-USB plug.

I have the play and charge kit for the series X so there is no light on the wire.

if you are on about the official play n charge kit then i am using an xbox one version in the series controller, the only difference is obviously the charging cable.

In short, you can't. Unlike Xbox One or Series X|S controllers, the 360 wireless controllers are always wireless. The Play & Charge kit simply charges the battery, it does not send data.

The only way to use an 360 wireless controller on a PC is via an Xbox 360 gaming receiver for Windows.
