    I initially set up our Microsoft Family all wrong because I am just dumb when it comes this stuff and we got in a hurry to set up our son's Xbox account. The email address my son uses for his gaming is my email address and is the email address for the primary account in our family group. I have another email address I have added to the family group as a family organizer but I can't change it to primary. I want to change this second email address to the primary and change the primary to a child account so my son can continue using that email address and not lose all of his gaming stuff that is connected to that email. Is there a way to do this?

    Hello Georges C. Thank you for responding to my question. I really appreciate it. Will my son lose his gaming progress such as for Fortnite? If the email address he has been using is also connected to an Epic games account for Fortnite will he retain his progress?

    Hello KPete2, if the account your child uses to play is your account and it is an adult you will not be able to pass it on to a child.

    In order for your second account to be the family organizer you will first have to remove the current family organization and from that second account add the other accounts in the new organization.

    Hey there MAX, sorry, but it's not possible to change the primary account holder on a Family Pack. The only way you can do this is do what ngocphi stated above and cancel your Family Pack and re-instate your family pack on the account you wish to be the

    Changing my Child Account to the Primary Account

    Hi, you cannot change the primary account holder once it has been set sorry. You would need to cancel your family pack and purchase a new family pack on the profile you want as the primary account.

    Gold Family Live account status changed to "free" when on new Xbox, still Gold and active on old system.

    When you moved out did you remain in the same region as the primary account holder on the family pack?

    It may be that you need the primary account holder to remove you from the family pack and then add you again if you are still in the same region.

    There may be a five day wait before the primary account holder can add you again after removal
