How Do I change my email to my live account

So I wanna change the email to my xbox live account, the one you use to sign in. Anyone know how? Thanks!

I've had a live account for years now but when I set it up I used my gmail email. I also have an local free profile for my wife that I set it up using my Live.com email account. My wife's account doesn't have a Live gold pass so it's just a free local account. Recently I signed up for a xbox Live Music pass about a month ago and I've been enjoying it so far (gmail account)....so to the Issue.
I just got a new Windows phone. All sync'd up and working with my live email account. My music pass though is not showing up for my Live account so I can't sync up my playlist and such. There is also no option to "log in" to your music pass as it uses the account the phone is already setup with which is my Live account.

So how do I switch my music pass to be associated to my Live account? I've been trying for hours to just delete my Wife's free profile account so I can remove my Live email association but I can't figure out how. I do know that I'll have to change my XboxLive account name which is cool with me. But when I try to switch my account over it says My email that I want to use is already in used by a Xbox profile (Yeah, my wifes').

Have you checked out the information/steps here on changing the email address on your account:

support.xbox.com/.../change-email-sign-in-for-microsoft-account

The page is pretty detailed. If that doesn"t help, please let us know.

 

You should remove your profile from your One before changing the email address as you need to log in with the new emailadress after changing it. And you cannot change the emailadress on an profile already existing on the One. It has to be added with the
new address again.

 

I've used this link as well, account.live.com/ChangeId.aspx?ei=1

when you sign in from this page, it will prompt you to change the email.

Note: If the email that you are trying to change it to already has another Microsoft account attached to it, it will not work.

If there is already another Gamertag attached to it, you will end up having to play Musical Microsoft accounts to do the switch, which can be a confusing process.

 

just to jump in here as I've had the same issue.

When you try to add a outlook.com email that exists you get this message - This email is part of a reserved domain. Please enter a different email address.

basically you can only set this up to get emails but you cant remove the account that was set up or at least I cannot using these intructions
