    How do I change my Display name? NOT my Gamertag


    I've seen a lot of people getting a lot of confusion when asking this exact question so I'll make it easy.

    In this picture we see my

    Gamertag: w

    Display Name: WikeSnom

    My question is, how do I change WikeSnom to something else? Everywhere I have looked are just ways to change the Gamertag or your account name, being your actual name and not the Display name.

    So can I please find a straight answer on how to change the DISPLAY name from WikeSnom to something else.

    If this is not your gamertag, which is "BenPlays", then you should be able to change it in your email settings. Log into your email and look for preferences or options and look for your name or the signature settings to change it.

    If the name you're talking about IS "BenPlays" then you will have to purchase a gamertag change.

    it shouldn't show the gamertag when you will write an email on your provider...

    it is an outlook account??

    Seeing as you are not trying to change the Gamertag's this may be the simplest solution:

    Log into the email account your gamertag uses via you Microsoft account, edit display name.

    How to change the name that is displayed:

    https://account.live.com/ > Login > Left side of screen > Select Overview > Edit Display Name > Enter what you want displayed in the first name field only. You will have to put something in the last name
    field but it will not show on the XB1 dashboard.

    Log out of you XB1 then back in. If it does not change give it a few minutes. It will eventually update.

    Hello!

    The "Anon" game name is a result of an update for Call of Duty. In order to change the name displayed in game, you have to:

    - Reach the game's main menu

    - Open the settings

    - Navigate to the "Account" tab

    - Select "Activision account"

    - Select "Change displayed name"

    - Insert the name you would like to be shown

    Please note you get one name change every 6 months.
