How do I change from paying monthly to paying yearly for xbox live?

I currently pay £5.99 a month for xbox live but I would like to pay yearly as it is cheaper. However I cannot figure out how to do this. I have looked in My Account but I can only turn off auto renew or cancel the subscription. Any help would be appreciated.

I’ve been paying the xbox live every month and I recently changed last month to the yearly subscription and this month it charged me the monthly fee but it won’t let me cancel the month only the yearly subscription so how do I get a refund for this month
and cancel the monthly charge ?

 

Is Microsoft allowing Elder Scrolls Online to be played without Xbox Live Gold?

Also I should state that I don't pay for the yearly subscription for Xbox Live Gold, I pay for 3 month Gold. So technically I would be paying a pretty penny to pay for Xbox Live Gold and monthly membership for ESO yearly.

Turn off the auto renewal. Buy a subscription code from a store or online -you can get them cheaper online, and instantly if you buy a digital code. Redeem the code on your console or the website. Subscriptions stack up, so you'll still have your remaining
subscription plus the months you've pre-purchased. At the moment you're paying £71 for a service that's £40 on a 12 month sub - you could buy another game with the money you've saved.

Yes, but you'll get an email before it runs out. They're stackable though, so you buy one any time.

To clarify, if you disable the auto-renew on your membership, once it expires you can purchase a recurring 12 month Xbox Live membership that auto-renews as well.
