How do i capture gamebar on OBS software?

How do i setup obs to capture everything related to the gamebar application. such as the party overlay cpu overlay and any other overlay or when i open the application itself entirely on OBS software...

Hello Verified ghofrani,

For achieving that, you will need to use "Capture Display" instead of window display.

That means that you will be recording everything that is happening on screen tho.

Use OBS to record and set as display capture, gamebar will only capture application window and it ignores a lot of overlays, CAD apparently loves to draw elements onto overlay which some screen recorders ignore or cannot record. OBS will capture most but will also miss some.

Sorme games require a different capture format as they dont work correctly for example some games cant be captured using desktop capture option. What streaming software you use? Obs, slobs? Etc

So yeah, I used to use OBS and I still have it downloaded, but the thing is the game becomes SUPER laggy using OBS (For example xbox gamebar gets my a stable 240 fps, while OBS will give me about 30 lol) and the recordings are also quite laggy. So even though I much prefer OBS I am forced to use xbox gamebar.

I don't think that the registry entries refer to any "physical device". I have seen such multiple video channels with some virtual video/audio capture devices, i.e not a physical device, but just some software. OBS is just one of possible examples, but there can be many other similar applications
