How do i cancel my xbox gold and game pass trial

I totally understand that, the problem is that because I activated the 14 day trial of only Game Pass my Gold was cancelled. I thought that it would just keep my Gold and give me the benefits of only Game Pass without the Game Pass Ultimate features but that didn't seem to be the case. Maybe if I run out the trial time or just cancel the Game Pass trial my Gold will come back.

We had an active Gold subscription and my son tried the Game pass for a month and then cancelled it but now we don't have anything and we are only 5 months into our year of Gold. Why do we not have anything now?

By activating the Game Pass Ultimate subscription (the trial version) it converts your Gold subscription to Game Pass Ultimate completely (replaces) so when you cancel the Game Pass Ultimate service renewal, you are canceling the service completely. This
is something that the service detects and advises when activating the Game Pass Ultimate subscription trial.

My son had gold through Aug 29th . He was enticed by the $1 ultamate game pass trial . Canceled the pass and list his remaining gold . So he now sits with no live because they wont reinstate his remaining gold pass . He had no idea he was gonna lose his
gold by doing the ultamate pass . Total scam xbox !

You cannot cancel a trial subscription, and there's no need to do that because your trial subscriptions will automatically expire on the specified time.

Try following these steps;

1. Follow this link https://account.microsoft.com/services/ (You will have to login)

2. On this page you should see all your recurring charges, which should include the trials.

3. Turn off "recurring billing" once this is off you should be good to go and can turn it back on at any time.
