    Always Appear Offline

NO. It's best to appear offline before you log in. It resets when you log out. Sorry and GOOD LUCK!!!

I'm fairly certain it remembers as long as you have your console on quick startup (it may not work on power-saving mode). Even if I'm wrong, you can always adjust your privacy options in the settings menu, so you're practically invisible. How do I always appear offline on Xbox One? ;)

I just turn my console on & off normally I guess I'll go check out the settings and hopefully it always keeps me offline.

  6. too funny when people try to hide their addictions/habits from others with the same addictions/habits...if I get an invite from a friend to play a game I dont want to I just ignore it...I would send them a message but since we went back to the late 1900's
with only being able to text without even predictive text I find that too lame and time consuming.

  7. I agree with U Go here. I lost a friend the other day when they blocked me because and I quote from a mutual friend once I found out, "you send too many invites." Really!? I thought that was the whole entire point of playing games online with Xbox Live -
to socialize and play games together with others! As U Go said, what's so hard about ignoring game invites you don't want to or feel like joining? It's what I do. If it starts to bother me, I simply turn off notifications for a while - I don't sacrifice perfectly
    good friendships... :|

^^Completely not a shot at you or anyone else so dont take this the wrong way...

If you send an invite to someone and they dont accept why do you keep sending multiple invites? I mean I shouldnt have to turn off notifications because you cannot accept the fact I dont want to be bothered with you right now.

Now this is directly toward GG but I will try to be as nice about it as possible, why do you specifically send game invites to people who are not playing the same game as you? Ive been in parties with people playing Dragon Age for instance and they will
get a COD invite from you. Why? And it will be multiple invites too. Not that I care one way or another but if that person is in a party playing DA why would they stop to play COD with you? Sometimes you should think about these things before sending invites.

No it's not. Some people have Xbox Live for Netflix, HBO and several other reasons that don't involve gaming or socializing. I'm not a "online" gamer for the most part. I will game with a certain few people at times but mostly I chat with them while we
play different games. Sending multiple invites is what has gotten several removed from my list. I can see sending a second one after a while in case the first was missed but two is the most. Anything more than that is just spam.

  10. Sometimes it's to hide from people that want to send you a barrage of messages as soon as you go online. There are about three people on my friends list that just seem to wait for me. I realize I'm charming and a fun gaming partner, but yeesh.

  11. I don't think it's a big deal to send someone a game invite, when that person is playing a different game and in a party. Maybe he/she would welcome mixing it up, and switching to a different game.

What I don't understand is, why send someone multiple invites when they are clearly ignoring them? It's no different than spamming, which is annoying. I suggest backing off, give them some space and they'll likely appreciate you for doing so. ...and maybe
even play with you later. Just a thought.

^^I find that its always best to send a message asking if the person wants to play if they are already in a party. Someone should make a thread about Party Etiquette.

^ I would rather just ignore or accept a game invite, than open up the message app. Less time. It depends. I regularly get both, and respond differently depending on the situation and what I prefer doing at the moment. Just don't spam me with invites.

  14. I agree with Doc about sending invites when not in the same game.

As for multiple invites, I'm not sure what you guys are talking about - I usually send only 1 round of invites to everyone. Maybe it's a notification issue? My Skype notifications often have a tendency to pop up 2 or 3x for the same message, so maybe it's
something similar to that? On the rare occasions I send a 2nd invite to friends however, it's usually to illicit a response because I'm not sure if you saw it the 1st time - a simple message that says "no thanks" would be enough to get my attention in that
    case.

@fyerball - I don't generally send invites to friends who are in the middle of Netflix or other media-based apps.

I appear offline a lot, I generally find it easier to do that rather than have to reply to people. I do mostly enjoy my single player more than multi tbh. I know you don't have to reply to invites or message's but I always feel ignorant if I don't.
