How do I add my son to my Xbox Live Gold membership so that we can both play multiplayer games ...

Very new to this so go easy on me !

I tried to play a 2 player game on Forza Horizon to play against my son whilst on our only 360 but I can't achieve this ?

What am I doing wrong please ?

Would like to add him to our my single live account if that makes sense !

What happens to 360 account when renew Live Gold on Xbox One?

I play xbox games w my son. We have a Xbox 360 & two Xbox One consoles in the house. His Xbox Live Gold membership just expired.

Ideally we want two things:

1) Use 1-membership to give us both access to play Xbox One games together online on separate consoles in the house

2) He will still want to play games with his friends occasionally on his 360

How do we do this?

A) Should I add Gold to my account or renew his?

B) If we renew on the Xbox One, does Gold apply to his 360 account too?

how does xbox live gold work?

I have pre ordered the new xbox one elite console and have decided to keep my current xbox one aswell and set it up for my kids upstairs.

How does xbox gold work in regards of games.

Lets say I purchase Black ops 3, can I install this on both my consoles and play on either and can my son log into one xbox and me another and we can play multiplayer BO3 together ? or can i only be logged into one xbox at a time?

Or do I have to purchase another xbox live account for my son and buy two copies of a game we would like to multiplay together ?

 

Just tried Minecraft too - same issue - want my son to play and it's telling me I have to be signed in with my profile which I obviously do not want to do as I won't be playing it.

Probably very simple but please help !

I'm afraid that any account that wants to play online games will need a seperate xbox live gold subscription on the xbox 360.

Forza Horizon doesn't support 2 player splitscreen, so you can only play this game with more players when each will have its own console (and game)

Minecraft does support 2 player splitscreen

I bought my games pre-owned and the Forza game was in a metal case with no instructions or info on the tin !

So each person has to pay for a gold membership? It isn't a Gold Membership per Unit?

 

no it is gold membership per account only the one has where you can have one gold membership on a console than other accounts on that console could play online but the 360 you need one per account.
