How do I add money to my Microsoft Account?

I am just wondering how to add money to my Microsoft Account.

Basically, Saints Row 4 is going to be on sale for June 3rd to 9 for $11.99, and I will have enough from Bing Rewards this week to get $9 for it, along with $1.29 from my previous purchases. That would make $10.29 total, meaning I'm just a little less than
    two dollars away.

Is there any way to add that difference to my Microsoft Account? Or is there no way to do so? I've looked online, and everyone had said that there was no way, although those were made almost a year ago, and they could have changed it. I still see no option
    for it, though...

    :)

Only the money that was converted has an expiry date, any credits you add after the conversion do not expire.

    OWEN is correct (thanks dude).

It would be nice to be able to top up membership using the account balance but unfortunately you cannot.

You can buy a currency card from game retailers, enter the code on your console & add money that way or when you go to pay for the game it should ask you if you would like to pay the remaining amount using a debit/credit card if you have one linked to your
    account

Usually you can attempt a purchase via credit/debit or PayPal and it'll pop up a prompt asking if you'd like you use your Microsoft Account balance first. What this will do is use your $10.29 and then charge the difference to your payment method.

I just tried to buy it a minute ago on my Xbox, and it wouldnt let me even select my Account. Is that option only for PC games or something?

No it isn't an option only for PC Games, it should work for Xbox as well.

Can you check/add a payment option via
    http://billing.microsoft.com
to see if all information is correct. Be sure to login with the same details that are used for your xbox live account.

How do I add money to my Microsoft Account?

All of the information is correct. Its giving me the option to select a payment option, which has my Microsoft account greyed out, and does nothing when I try and select it. It also has my card as an option, and that's it, other than to manage payment options,
which only let's me edit my card information, and also has my Microsoft Account option greyed out.

I think I should also note that I am doing this on my Xbox, and not online. Though I don't see why there would be a problem if I used one over the other.

  9. If you choose your card first, then hit confirm purchase, then it will ask you if you want to use your MSA balance and you hit yes.

Are you sure/ Cr4sh? I never gotten that before, at least though the Xbox itself. Does that only come up if you are making a purchase on the website?

I just don't want to make a mistake and have the money charged onto my card, you know?

what you're looking for is a split transaction. to do it though you must have a card or paypal on the account, click on the item you want to buy and confirm the purchase a message should appear and say "Hey you have X amount on your MSA would you like to
use that first?" yes than it will charge the rest on the card. But I usually prefer using currency anyways since it's a lot easier. Oh and yes do this on the console when you go to buy it.
