How do I access my DLC?

I pre-ordered the Lightfall expansion for Destiny 2 but when I try to play it I'm told I have to purchase it. The Xbox store says I don't own it but the in game store says that I do. I checked my bank account and it says they still charged me for the expansion. Am I screwed or is there a fix for this?

Please sign in at https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders to verify whether your transaction for Destiny 2: Lightfall is showing as 'Completed' or not. If it is showing as 'Declined' or 'Failed,' rest assured that you were not charged for it on the day you pre-ordered, as payment for pre-order transactions is typically collected approximately 10 business days before the game's launch. If the transaction failed, it means that your financial institution declined the payment when the system attempted to collect it. Therefore, I highly recommend contacting your financial institution for further confirmation.

Make sure you've installed the second disc. Then start playing your game like normal. As you get close to level 10, you'll get a very obvious indication that the Dawnguard DLC has started, through a random NPC encounter. Same for Dragonborn, but you'll
be around level 20. Don't worry....the DLC will find you, whether you like it or not

I believe the Legendary edition has all the DLC on the disk so it should just appear as soon as the triggering event occurs. That is to say that a letter from the Jarl of Falkreath should arrive fairly soon, the Cultists should start trying to kill you as
soon as you get back from High Hrothgar. I base this on the behavior of the Morrowind GOTY edition which just added in DB assassins at level 6 and references to a ship to Solstheim.

I'd have to check on this one. Does the "Legendary Edition" actually have all the DLC content on the disc? In my game I don't have to do anything special. Any DLC content that has been downloaded is automatically accessed each time I start my game.

If there is a second disc, put it in as if you were using it to play.

It will open a special install menu. Just installing the same way as a regular game disc doesn't really work unless the Bethesda Xbox games changed how the DLC on discs work.
