Thinking that I would have all the most current technology from Microsoft, I held out for the Xbox One X and bought the Kinect and some compatible games for Christmas, and let me tell you I was EXCITED. It was my own stupidity for not knowing
the Kinect needed an adapter, so I was relieved when Amazon was still taking orders for them on 12/13/17 at their normal price of $39.99. Amazon indicated that I would receive the adapter before 01/24/18 (I also contacted their customer support on 01/12/18
and was told that I would "definately" be receiving one) until all of a sudden last week my order is cancelled with no explanation? I waited over a month for Amazon, I thought I had caught a break so I sat back and watched the prices climb. Now I'm stuck with
a peripheral and games that I can't return, and I can't/won't pay the scalper prices. I've always been a staunch supporter of Microsoft and this has forever changed my opinion and confidence in their integrity and customer loyalty/support. Shame on you, Microsoft,
for the bait-and-switch tactics, it's truly disappointing and disheartening.

Is there any possible way to get a Kinect adapter from you directly, Microsoft? If you have any insight on future production runs of the adapter, or how I can get one at a reasonable price, I'd like to
know please.

They're bad at their job lol. They say you don't get banned for no reason, then ban you for no reason and these yes men wont help you. Just switch to PS4, Xbox is awful now and there's nothing anyone will do. They're criminals.

Microsoft has recently discontinued production on the adapter entirely, so there’s no more that can be ordered.

The only way to play Kinect games on the One X is to get the adapter from the third-party sellers on eBay or Amazon, or find an original model Xbox One console. For the latter option, this console already has the Kinect port on the back.

@everyone, I just believe deceit causes more problems than solves them. True that it is a method to obtain the "prize" (GTA IV) but it can also bar you from it completely if you are deceitful. I leave you with this new advice: it comes down to choice! The
choice to decide to be truthful when it comes to mature content-filled games or be deceitful. Also, @Stealth, the ESRB is there for a reason, just like school; you can also say "screw school" and play hooky, but eventually that decision, just like allowing
