How could Microsoft get Xbox one so wrong

I finally broke down and bought an Xbox one 1 hour into it I am boxing up and taking it back! Do the engineers not look into it's previous console to see what people liked about it? With Xbox One having no Windows. Media Center (Big, big
mistake) No Xfinity app (really who is the only Cable provider in the Silicon Valley) don't most of the Microsoft employees in the Silicon Valley? I have never been so disappointed in a Product in my entire Life, so fast! Microsoft here is a tip, Comcast
Engineering group is a block away from you in Mountain View, walk your engineers over there and get a clue how improve you console. And bring back Media center for those of us. Use tuners to watch and record to our own drives. Thanks for making. Me an

Charging Dock for Xbox One S controllers

Ah right, I thought Microsoft had an official Xbox one dock to charge the official batteries but I could be wrong

Troll ? maybe...$500 for apps , absolutely not. What I was expecting was a one stop entertainment system where I could play games and use my Xbox as a Dvr and use my other Xbox consoles as extenders with my Silicondust tuners. Also which Game console
doesn't make the console backward compatible with their old console.

 

Xbox One was never intendeded for gaming .Its a data mining tool for the NSA and big corporations so they can sell you stuff you dont want or need. You think they put free apps up out of the goodness of their hearts? No..actually everytime you view something
they get a little more data about your interests to sell to 3rd parties.Because thats where the real money is.Its in targeted ads and selling your info.The Xbox was never about games.That was just to lure you in.Those 300,000 servers will store a lot of data
about you too.

Wow talk about a troll. In regards to apps, it is up to Xfinity in this instance to create the app. Apple does not make angry birds and MS doesn't make the Bonnaroo app. And if these are your biggest problems, you are one lucky person. First World Problems

My disappoint goes much deeper. The kinetic is failure again. I remember when I ran out to the xbox 360 kinetic device and then found out there were no game for it. It was a false promise then and it is a false promise now. Shame on the company for stealing
peoples money. Now that they made the move to lower the price, by what, getting rid of the kinetic device. Bold move. Do the think game makers will spend the extra time

 

The developers know (or will soon know) what can be done with the Kinect. I have some trepidation as to the future of the Kinect but I think when they do find out what it can do even if it is just adding voice commands for in-game fuctionality (ie BF4)
or facial/avatar creation (ie Kinect Sports Rivals) or using hand gestures (ie Plants vs Zombies boss mode) they will provide more functionality. Grammar nazi's forgive prease for run-on sentence.

 

MS included advertising via the 360, and the X1 so as to make extra $ every time you/it turned on. I wouldn't doubt that tracking cookies are even allowed - but YOU can't remove them.

They also sought to cater to Cable, and Cable is something that has seen it's glory days and is now an over priced hasbeen ($70.00 + box rental - per month in my area {TWC} JUST FOR BASIC cable Tv??) That no-one in this "modern era" even likes. Satellite
is far, far cheaper but MS don't cater to them.

Lets not forget that Cable is pushing Net Neutrality. So the more I find out about Cable, the more I hate it.

As for apps. Bring em on.

 

I would like to remind you that this early into the Xbox 360's lifecycle it didn't have WMC or the any apps to speak of at all either... Be patient and some of the things you want may come to pass, while others may stay in the past.

 

I would like to remind you that at launch the Xbox 360 was capable of pulling media from a PC. Something that over six months later the Xbox One is incapable of doing.

Did the USB storage update allow you to play media from a external drive now or is it just for Xbox storage.

I find it increasingly bizarre that as a media machine, something Microsoft are keen to push, the Xbox One lags behind both the Xbox 360 and PS3.

 

All I'm reading is; I should have done my research before buying. If you did your research you would have known that the Xbox One does not support Windows Media Center, and Xfininity app. You would have also found out that Kinect
games are lacking on the Xbox One and so on.
