    How could I access the sea of thieves beta if the account it's purchased on is a child account?


    I pre-ordered sea of thieves on my son's account and I cannot enter the Xbox Insider app. Is there still a way I can access the closed beta?

    Xbox Insider Hub won't let me in the app, says I'm underage, although am not.

    When I try to open Xbox Insider hub, it presents me with this message,"Sorry, you need to be at least 18 to join the Xbox Insider program". My microsoft account is over 18...

    I have just purchased sea of thieves and cannot access it's closed beta How could I access the sea of thieves beta if the account it's purchased on is a child account? :(

    Are you sure this is not the beta?? If it is so, it's normal you couldn't play, cause the beta closed on 31st of January

    Nice to meet you! I'm Darhyl, an Independent Advisor. I'm sorry you are experiencing this on your game Sea of Thieves. I am here to help.

    It is not possible to remove a game license from a Microsoft account due to the account's birthdate being a child account.

    NOTE: A child account is registered on the birthdate 21 years old and below upon the account's first creation.

    Your game Sea of Thieves must have been purchased from a different account which explains the different registered birthdate of the account. To confirm this, kindly sign in to your account on account.microsoft.com > Payment and Billing > Order History.

    From there, check if you can find the order transaction for the game.

    If you haven't found them, check your other accounts' Order History for the transaction.

    If you have found the transaction, use the same account to sign in and install the game Sea of Thieves.

    Is the account you trying to use a child account or an adult account?

    As child accounts will not be able to play certain games online unless the parent account has given the required permissions.

    Sea of Thieves has a age rating of 13 years and up.

    Adult account but it will not let me sign in to go online .

    My copy of sea of thieves has disappeared. I haven't played it in a while but it says I never owned sea of thieves even though I purchased the game.

    No it shows nothing in my purchase history including when I subscribed to the game pass separately before I bought sea of thieves. No purchases show up.
    Since the game does not appear on your purchase history, you might purchased it on a separate account. If you have other accounts, please access them and check again.
