How come when I go to install a game I own or off of game pass it tells me it's corrupted

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

Do you have an external hard drive plugged into your console? If yes, kindly unplug the hard drive and try to install your games again. If the external hard drive is corrupted we will get this error.

If there is no external hard drive we need to reset the console keeping your games and apps. Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

Reset and keep my games & apps.

When I go to the store it says I own the game and tells me to install. When I click to install it gives me the error.

Hi thank you for replying. Yes that was included in the trilogy I bought. I just checked my account purchases and it's definitely in there. When I check in the store on xbox it says it's included with game pass and next to that buy to own rather than the usual you own this and if I click buy to own it tells me you already own this. Also in the store under the trilogy where it says in this bundle everything says owned except the hitman 3 access pass: hitman 2 standard but if I click on it and press buy now it tells me I already own it but it just won't install. It lets me try to install maybe because it on game pass but it won't install.

Hi I own mw3 2023 on disc and have gold through ultimate game pass why is it I follow everything to the letter but still tell me I don't own the game when it is sitting in my console... so I Uninstall the mw3 main app and try again my xbox reads the disc but nothing not even a this game is installing notification but I take that disc out and put In another it instantly reads it and tells me it's installing its just frustrating
