How come we haven’t had a firmware update in over one week?

This happened to me today, had over 2 year streak, earned my week of complete weekly for monthly challenge then its decided I missed a week when I haven’t. Xbox has become a joke.

I struggled the first couple of days but since then I have not had much difficulty. I have not tried some of the things you mentioned though like cancelling an update for one game, that is very interesting. We will see how it plays out over the next
couple of weeks.

As for Edge, Windows, Xbox App and Edge had updates this week, and it may come with some bug.

It's pretty simple really.

Do you want the new console to come out this year, or next year with the firmware updated?

They will have something in the region of 5 million consoles. If it just takes 10mins to update each one thats:

5,000,000 * 10 = 50,000,000 minutes

50,000,000 / 60 = 833,333 hours

833,333 / 24 = 34,722 days

34,722 / 5 (working week) = 4960 weeks

4960 / 52 = 95 years!

So 1 person would take 95 years to update them or with 5,000,000 people it will take just 10 minutes.

This is not a big deal. Every next-gen console has/had a day 1 firmware upgrade and almost every one who buys will will have (or have access to) an Internet connection. It was also known about months ago that this would be the case.

We have not had this one yet. Not for a little over a week till the date.
