    How come that Xbox reports "Not connected to Internet"?


    Usually, since about 10 days, Windows10 Xbox, reported that the site itself had slowering problems: indeed for entering I needed often to wait up to 2 minutes. This was somehow upsetting.

    However, since today, December 5th 2016, the Xbox software became like any usual human being: the problem is not any more lying on its site but on mine: "You are not connected to internet" is its comment!

    NO! I am duly connected to internet: I have no problem in downloading any page, any email, any music, any market data, any video. I just have a problem: I cannot log into my Xbox and this even after having been asked for my password several times.

    How come that Xbox reports "Not connected to Internet"? [​IMG]

    Many people are reporting it's down in some areas. My xbox connects to the internet, when I run the test it comes up with 22.1 Mbps, but can't sign into a profile. I'm on my PC right now connected to the internet. Tried the hard boot, tried to make a new profile, but it says can't connect to services. Like I said, it's not down everywhere, thanks for understanding the post, also say what region your in please, otherwise you provide no useful information.

    Xbox live non operational but pretending it is connected

    For about at least 6 days Xbox live does not run, on our Xbox one.

    Our one year subscription dates back to christmas. Internet works fine. I ran all the tests recommended by support.xbox with no improvement.

    Most screens of the Xbox one display that we are connected to the internet. So does my computer.

    But when it comes to really playing connected games, then we get a message stating we are not connected. The error message is 0x87dd001a.

    How do we solve this ?

    Xbox services are down and no one is admitting it..

    can't report a problem can't do anything. It tells me I have a great connection to the internet and everything but when it comes to online no no no

    You dont you don't seem to understand how the internet works

    You connect to the internet then to xbox live then to other players

    Your IP must.be visible.to.all or you do NOT connect to the internet

    Also because it's going thru the internet you have to report it to your ISP which is their jurisdication

    any threatening msgs can be reported via xbox but only that what occurs over live

    Ddos doesnt go thru live or xbox network would go down and you would be able to access the net since the xbox server is down but not internet

    Since the attack is from the atttacker to you xbox doesn't see it

    Only your isp would see it and you have to report it there

    And it's a simple firewall change
