how come no halo 4 dlc maps?

The War Games Map Pass will be available at Halo 4's launch and will come free with the Halo 4 Limited Edition, but cost $24.99 (2,000 Microsoft Points) to those with the standard edition. This prices the DLC at a 15% discount from standalone purchases of

To answer what the OP asked, no. Halo 4's Limited Edition comes with access to 3 FUTURE map packs. This will not be day 1 DLC.

If memory serves, this raised a big stink on the Halowaypoint forums. For if just one 360 gamer you're matched in with does not have DLC/Maps. Then everyone is forced to play ONLY the maps the least of you has.

Back when Halo 4 had over 10,000 + payers online at any given time. This wasn't a problem, but last I checked the 360 edition has dwindled down considerably.

I would check Halo MCC (Xbox One) and see how many are playing halo 4 via Halowaypoint.com.

Not saying you should run out and buy an X1, but if you want to play all the DLC/Maps. Then that's about the only way you could do it online because the X1 edition comes with all the maps so everyone with a Halo MCC and Xbox One will all have the maps.

I haven't watched the full show yet but can someone please clarify; How many multiplayer "suites" are the "100+" maps divided into? Is it as straightforward as original releases? So:

Halo: CE Anniversary (classic maps, Reach engine)

Halo 2 Anniversary (6 remastered maps, AND the classics)

Halo 3 and all dlc

Halo 4 and all dlc

If so, I appreciate the fidelity but not sure how I feel about dividing the community so much. Halo 2 and 3 multiplayer will be receiving all the attention, and I imagine the Reach-powered maps of Halo: CEA will be a ghost town.
