    I am a long time microsoft supporter, i have a lumia 920, 2 windows 8 pcs, a surface tablet, office and now an xbox one, i got my one about 3 weeks ago i was so excited to finally get my own. My first console was defective, right after i would turn it on
    it would show the xbox logo and then the screen would go black and stay there, so i returned it to get a new one (not to mention the microsoft store is almost 30 miles away from me) i got a new replacement and everything was fine until i got my first disc
    game (deadrising 3) it showed an error code and said that xbox one doesn't play these discs and to put an xbox one game, dvd, cd or blurry in the console. so i contacted support and now i have to return the second xbox one and i won't have it for 2 and a half
    weeks because I'm sending it in. but what really strikes me as shocking is that i haven't gotten any sort of compensation or even an APOLOGY from ANYONE at microsoft i talked with at least a total of 8 support agents when all of this was happening and no one
    said "on behalf of microsoft we are sorry for the trouble you are going through" and neither did the microsoft store i went to replace the first xbox give me an apology, to make things worst how come when i talk to AT&T or comcast about them making a mistake,
    i don't even have to ask twice for compensation, they just deduct some money from my bill??? AT&T and COMCAST…2 OF THE WORST COMPANIES IN THE WORLD!!! C'mon microsoft i can't get any compensation???? the almost 3 weeks that i won't have my xbox is a deduction
    from the 12 month xbox live gold membership that i bought! thats money thrown away for me!!! I think the least microsoft can do is at least apologize and give me some sort of a compensation especially since i'm a long time microsoft supporter and still am.

    Major problems with Xbox.

    The problem is, people have gotten so entitled. Complaining on a forum and expecting some sort of compensation (in his case, he wants money), is pointless. If you want to complain, go chat with support. Any other service that isn't working properly that
    you pay for, you contact the company and tell them, not come on their forum to complain. Sure there is a happy medium, they offer a month of XBL or a $5 gift card. Though chances of them doing anything is unlikely, unless the problem lasts for a week or more.
    After all, they don't guarantee any sort of reliability of their service, so they don't HAVE to provide any sort of compensation for an outage.

  6. didn't know that but i need to make sure this is true and i also read somewhere that when other people had problems with the disk drive like me that they also got a free game like rise or something

    I'm not sure if they're still doing the free game thing or not. That was something they were doing when the One first came out because it was a huge problem right at launch.

    Just found out they send the cosoles to Mexico for repair. My console has been stuck at the border customs for 5 days and MS cant do anything about it. Why the heck is the repair center in Mexico in the first place? And like you said no mention of compensation
    or anything, not my fault the system is defective. Im losing 3 weeks of my gold subscription for something thats out of my control.

    I got my Xbox exchanged and they aren't doing the replacement game anymore, unfortunately. I did get a free month of Xbox Live though, which is awesome.

  10. I seriously would like an answer for all of our problems from an official Microsoft representative! And I seriously would like something more than just a month of Xbox live, I already bought a 12 month subscription that wont be any use to me until another
    year. C'mon Microsoft I seriously dont want to have to return my Xbox and get a ps4

    Ok, first off I had a similar situation that you did a while back. After making sure all the right boxes were checked along with other troubleshooting steps I had to send the console in for a repair.

    I got my console back within a week along with a 30 day Gold card. They still send them with the returned console as an apology for the wait.

  12. Well I got one for you. I just came home from a cookout, my console had been off for around 8 hours and mind you I had played earlier in the day. Came home went to turn it on.....nothing! voice command...nope, console button...nope, controller...nope. I
    had to manually eject the game from the system and am totally confused as to what happened. Talk about the worse ending to an already bad day. That and I had to talk to a support agent that wasn't even a gamer.

    iv'e been lucky enough to have really good a smart support agents but what i just don't understand is why this has happened twice if its not even around launch day and i haven't gotten an apology

  14. Can anyone explain to me if I let my new dead rising 3 game go to my friends Xbox one just to see if its not the game that's broken instead of the disk drive on my Xbox cause DVDs and blurays work fine on my Xbox one and deadrising 3 is the only non downloaded
    game I have, I wanna know if after my friend tests the game if I can still use the game

    Yes , you will still be able to use the game. Yes, you will get a code for 30 days of gold when you get your system back to make up for the lost time. No, it's not worthless to you because you can stack up to 3 years of pre paid time on your account. They
    were only doing the free game if you set up an advanced exchange, and that program ended at the end of March. And at the end of the day, is an apology from some faceless tech support agent, who let's be honest doesn't really care, really going to help? Wouldn't
    you rather have a company that skips over that BS and gets to the point of fixing your issue instead of dwelling on it? Apologies won't fix your Xbox.

    And let's be honest here, you went with Xbox because you know it's superior. Sony is neck deep in their own issues between blue light failures and system update crashes and PSN being hacked and losing peoples billing info...again. You go with MS and windows
    products because you know that they're the best. It's a new system, it has issues just like any new electronic does. After a while they'll get ironed out and it'll become the stable rock the 360 is. It's just going to take time. The 360 didn't have a smooth
    go of it at first either. You're patience will pay off in the end.
