How come I can't play indie games offline?

    How come I can't play indie games offline?


    I've looked around and cant find a definitive answer as to why. It's really just dumb how you can't play them offline... EVEN THE SINGLE PLAYER GAMES!? I generally don't have internet and decided to drop some cash on indie games for those occasions, but
    boy was I surprised to see that message!

    I saw someone else post in a forum somewhere that they were able to play them offline some time ago.

    So I ask this: Would deleting the system updates with the LRXLRX trick allow me to play them offline for those times when I may be months without internet?

    Hi everyone,

    I just wanted to say that I was looking for some indie games to play with my friends and than I wanted to download them and it sayed : not available in your region, I think indie games must be available in every region if the player is old enough to play
    it than just let them play it, because this is not a full xbox live service even now I pay for my xbox live and I can't even play a indie game come on that is not fair

    Hi,

    Everytime I try and look at Indie Games the error code comes up 800700E8, I've tried this many times over the last year and this never resolves itself. I can't look at indie games or download them.

    Please Help?

    Indie games have always had to be played online. There is no way to play them offline. I can't remember the exact reason, but it has something to do with the licensing since they are indie games and not made by actual developers.

    Most of the time the stuff you download off the Xbox 360 market will not play offline. I know you can't play Arcade games or Indie games offline (that's why you can't play Minecraft offline), I haven't checked if Xbox Games on Demand work offline, but I
    assume that they also don't. Since the license of the game is on your Xbox 360 you would have no problem playing the same game on other profiles.
