How Can you tell if Xbox One Game Patches have actually been downloaded and installed?

I am just curious if there is a way to go check that a patch for a game has been downloaded. I have AC unity digitally and it has a new 6.5GB patch but I can only assume it downloaded but have no real way to know as i cannot find where to look for that.

Anyone able to point me in the right direction?

I too am wondering how to download and install patches for games...i have the digital versions of NBA 2k14 and BF4, both of which have had patches released. How do I download and install these patches? Or how do i confirm whether or not the patches have
been automatically downloaded and installed? My xbox one has Instant-On mode enabled.

 

At the moment it doesn't. If you're going to be playing online on an Xbox One game, you'll know if you have the latest patch or not. If you don't, the game won't work in multiplayer.

You can't go by the size of the game either. These large patches usually contain graphics data which actually overwrite part of the original game install. So even if say your game was a 40GB install or download, it doesn't necessarily mean that a 6GB update
will make the game will now use 46GB of hard drive space, if that makes sense.

If you have the console set to 'Instant on', game updates will happen in the background. If not, you will be prompted for an update when you launch the game. If there is no prompt, either your game/s don't need an update or your console is offline.

 

Ok just wanted to check, most of the time my system is on because of my cable box. I did not see any prompts and the game did load but i can try a co-op mission to truly know for sure.

Well I went to AC unity and had to come back to xbox home and it froze. Had to turn off and unplug to get it to work again. Then went back to AC Unity for it to tell me I had a 40GB update? Actually it seems the game some how got corrupted and now i have
to reinstall it. Joy! Its wierd that its now 40.3GB and before this issue it was 41.4GB

 

If in the top right hand corner of the game tile shows an asterix that means it has been updated since you last played
