How can we play together? (Dlc and multiplatforming)

So lately me and my sister have been playing splitscreen on Borderlands in her room. The Xbox 360 we are using is mine and has my accounts license on it. We have been through several Xbox 360s over the years. Anyway, we are about half way through the game
and my brother wants to play with us and now we are trying to set up either a LAN or Xbox live session for us to play on. There are a couple of problems though.

Problem 1 would be my sister not being able to use my dlc on the Xbox located in her room. It is my dlc and she is unable to use it unless she is signed in on my account. Is there any solution for this so that she can have access to the dlc and be able to
play alone? We have already tried an old trick that involved signing into my account first and then swapping to her account. It didn't work.

Problem 2 would be that we are trying to play together and I'm using an Xbox one. The Xbox one has Borderlands as a backwards compatible game and I am able to detect my brothers games in system link but it will not let me join them and vice versa. Also
when attempting to use an Xbox live session of the game I get a screen that says that I must be connected to Xbox live to play online. I am already connected so this makes no sense unless there isn't any Xbox live support for backwards compatible games.

Please help us with this problem if you can.

[/quote]I've been saying this since the first NXE. My most recent post about all the *** ups in the Marketplace got deleted. I wonder why. All the Lame Yoostar DLC and Music game DLC needs to be in it's own section of New releases, and they need to stop
creating a new entry for each piece of DLC released but just have it all under one game title like they had way back on the first Marketplace.

They need to sort it out for sure because I, like many others, am getting a little annoyed at browsing through individual songs and track packs for all the music games in the latest releases, just to see if there's any other interesting DLC to buy for a
game.



Glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks MS should sort it out and list the latest DLC items a bit better.

 

You said that you have been through several Xbox 360s. Have you ever performed a

License Transfer to get your content licenses transferred to your current console? Once you do this, all accounts on your console will be able to use the game content that you've purchased regardless of whether you are signed in or if they are connected
to Xbox Live. Once you have made this update, or if you already have done this, your sister should be able to play the game and use the DLC via her profile while you play with her via Backwards Compatibility through your Xbox One. I'm sure that this will work
because I've played backwards compatible games this way with people on their 360s and I've played the games on my360 with people playing through their Xbox Ones.

 

Yes I have done the license transfer to this system which is why we are concerned that there may be a problem. The messages that appear when I'm trying to join their games via backwards compatibility are "the current session is no longer available" for
LAN/system-link and "you must be connected to Xbox live to play online" for Xbox live.
