How can my son use Game Pass on his PC?

If you want to purchase Xbox Game Pass for PC for your son, then your son will also need a Microsoft Account, not just a local user account you made for him on Windows. Once the Microsoft Account is made for him, you will need to login to the Microsoft Store
app using his account and purchase it that way. If he's not allowed to using his Microsoft Account to purchase items in the Microsoft Store because of age restrictions, then the parental account would need to allow the purchase by logging in once to allow
the purchase.

To add a member to your family group:

1. Go to
   family.microsoft.com.
   
2. Sign in with your Microsoft account, then select
   Add a family member.
   
3. Select Child or Adult.
   
4. Type an email address or mobile phone number for the person you want to add. If your child:
   
   • Has a Microsoft account, use the email address associated with that account.
   • Doesn't have a Microsoft account, select Create one for them. If your child has a local account on your PC, use the email associated with that account. To find it, select
     Start > Settings > Accounts
     > Your info. If the account was set up with an email address, you'll see it under the child's name.

While your son is logged into his Microsoft Account in the Microsoft Store, he should be able to purchase the subscription if there is a valid payment option on his account or if he has any credits in his Microsoft balance.

Unfortunately, Minecraft for Windows 10 is not included in the Game Pass.

I don't know how you and your son have both bought a Game Pass membership. But you could get away with buying only one Game Pass (Ultimate) membership if you do it like this:

Make sure your and your son's account are both in the same Microsoft Family at
https://account.microsoft.com/family

If your son is the one mainly playing on the console, your son should be the "owner" of the Game Pass subscription.

You then sign in on your Windows 10 PC with your Microsoft Account (make sure you use a Microsoft Account on your PC, and not just a local account) and start the Xbox (beta) app and the Windows 10 Store App.

Use the Menu to sign out of the app and let your son sign in with his own account.

Let your son download and install games that are Cross Play enabled AND included in the Game Pass for your PC and Xbox. For example, Forza Horizon 4, Gears 5, Sea of Thieves, etc.

After your son installed the games, you sign back in to these apps with your own account. Now you can launch "his" games on your PC, and he can launch the games on his Xbox. Then you can just join each others game, and play together.

As myself and my son very likely just play in our PC, not on a console, so may I recap if my understanding is correct l:

1. Claim the game pass key under my own email address in my Microsoft account

2. Through my Microsoft family, my son can share the subscription as my family member

3. Register my xBox account same email as my Microsoft account email which claimed the game pass

4. In my son's laptop, he also create his xbox account using his email address which is the same as his email in my Microsoft family setting

5. In my son's laptop, somewhere in his xBox setting, add my email as the Microsoft store account. I think it is how his xbox account get access into the game pass.

I will try out how the step 5 when I get the game pass key.

In the meantime, is my understanding correct that if my son login his xbox app and I login my xbox app at the same time in our two computers, both of us can play our own games at the same time?

Is there any limit of xbox account that can add my Microsoft store account?

And is there any limit how many of those accounts can play games at the sane time?

Regarding Game pass on Xbox. If you have a game pass you can set your box as homebox.

Then, any other account can share your subscriptions, games, and apps on that Xbox. You can Buy Ultimate and then one of your sons when logged with your account on The PC can have a game pass. Then you must buy a game pass for PC to another son, but with
his account. If you want both of them to have their own PC game pass, then you must buy a game pass for each account, but with their accounts. Homebox

Would this also hold true for PC version of Game Pass Ultimate? My son already had the Gold Pass on his console. I had just purchased him a Gaming PC and Best Buy suggested the Game Pass Ultimate. I ran into the current problem while trying to install on the PC.
