How can my kids play a game that I downloaded without me entering my password?

Go to ther console's Settings while signed in as your account and set this console as your Home Xbox (I think this is under "Customize", but I'm not 100% sure so you may have to hunt through sub-menus to find it). Once you do that, all profiles on this console
will be able to play the game.

I have added the kids to the family, the problem is that I have to physically logon for the kids to be able to play online. I was looking for a way for them to be able to play online without me having to logon to my account first.

It looks like Microsoft would add a way for the console to login with my credentials every time the console boots, but I would still need to enter my password to access my profile.

My kid did this back last year, there is an option in the settings so that you have to enter your Microsoft password when making purchases. Unfortunately my kid is too smart for a passcode and worked out the pattern from watching me lol and even now I
have to use my xbox app to enter passwords as he can see me entering password on screen 🙈.... The joys of them learning to read 🤣

Yes you can on a child account. Neither of my kids can send or receive friends request without my password being entered.

In the Xbox's settings you can set it to auto-sign in and not require a password on bootup. You could change your password, enter the new password yourself, and set it to auto-signin without a password so no one but you ever needs to know the new password.
This is how I have my Xbox set up and I never have to enter my password.
