How can it be fixed?

I have two friends that have tried to change their gamertag. The one, his screen says something about an error. And the other said it took his money, but three days and it still isn't changed. How can it be fixed? They aren't using special characters or anything. Simply a first name and last name with both of them. Please help me figure it out so they can change their gts without it taking their money or an error happening.

Hello Moonafex, the process of exchanging Gamertags is fully automatic in the Microsoft system.

Your first friend who had the error, ask him to wait and try to make the switch again with another browser for example.

Your other friend and the exchange was charged it is normal that it may take a while for the Gamertag to update in the system and in all databases.

Try removing the account from the console, doing a hard restart, hold the power button for 10 seconds while the system is on, and then re-adding the account.
