    How can I use the Gamebar to talk on the Xbox One?


    What I want to know is, whether starting a party or in a party, how I can talk using my PC headset using these.
    At Taskbar icon > Sound my headset is default playback and recording device. In Settings > Privacy > Microphone each app is given access.

    Trouble hearing a friend in a party

    i was having the same issue it all depends on what you are using aswell. sometimes if you are in party chat using gamebar it will glitch out. you could always do a party in console companion. also if you are using gamebar check the settings to see if push
    to talk is enabled or not.+

    having the same issue when gamebar is not open in the foreground every other program can use the mic just not xbox or gamebar unless its on top.

    This happens to me too with game invites but theres a temporary fix i just reset my pc and i can only accept 1 invite before i have to reset it again. Kinda crazy how this has been happening for months and xbox support just tells me to reinstall gamebar,
    just patch the gamebar how hard is that to do?

    use gamebar for party chat instead then you can pop into gamebar setting and set the default mic and output in there better.

    The only way I can talk to my friends is when the party chat is pin. When the party chat is unpin I can hear my friend but they don't hear me. When I tried to allow xbox gamebar background permissions I don't have the option.
