How can I unlock family settings if we can't remember the passwords or the question to reset ...

We need to unlock the family settings on our Xbox 360. We have forgotten both the passwords and the question to reset the passwords. Is there any other way to get this unlocked?

Do you remember the email address? If so just visit
account.live.com/.../reset to reset the password in question. If you can't remember the email address or if you can't access it, contact Microsoft Support to see if they can help you

You'll have to factory reset your console. All the gamertags should be backed up so they will be able to be redownloaded. Back up all your saves to the Cloud first.

take down the serial # off the back of the console (how to find it -
support.xbox.com/.../serial-number)

Then call Support -
support.xbox.com/.../contact-us (click Request a Call).

They'll give you a set of controller instructions (i.e. up up down down left right left right B A) unique to your serial # that will allow you to reset your console.
