How can I transfer a gamer tag to another account?

I bought my son an Xbox One and used my own Microsoft account to set it up, buy some games. My sons has been playing the games and I see he has built up achievements and has his own FIfa 15 team saved under this profile. Now I want to set him up with his
own account separate to mine. Can I do this and move his profile over to his own account? I know nothing about Xbox so I dont know what Im looking for. Thanks.

I have dlc content I purchased under another gamer tag that I would like to transfer to xbox one. how can this be done?

 

Change MS Account associated with Gamertag

I want to transfer my gamer tag from an old MS account (let's call it OLD) to a new MS account (let's call it NEW). Unfortunately, I accidentally created a gamer tag with account A.

So the process as I know it is:

1) Create a temp MS account (TEMP).

2) Download the profile for NEW.

3) Transfer gamer tag from NEW to TEMP. This frees up NEW to receive another gamer tag.

4) Transfer gamer tag from OLD to NEW.

I want to know how long this process takes. I've read somewhere that after step #2, it will take me 30 days to be allowed to do #3.

After doing #3, will I be locked out for another 30 days until I can do step #4?

After doing #4, will I be stuck for another 30 days until I can sign in to NEW and use my old gamer tag?

Am I correct that this process will take a whopping 90 days?

 

You can create a new account for him, but nothing can be transferred between accounts. He would still be able to access the content you've purchased as long as you have the console set as your Home console, but he would have to start over on his progress.

 

What if I have two accounts one online and the other not, but cannot remember the login email or password for the first. How can I get it. I have it on my 360 but cannot get it on my xbox one? please help

 

You would need to contact support. As long as you can verify that you are the owner of the account they can get you them email. Then you would need to reset the password.
